Business Opportunities
  • Second income, or full time job? It's only when they're new that business opportunities like this one can generate real wealth for people who get in early. These are early days for this company - so join the health and wellness phenomenon that is breaking marketing records and be one of the success stories.
  • SabrinaFerguson.com Opportunities in the health and wellness industry - motivated, dynamic team members wanted. Live the life YOU want!
Fiction and Writing
  • NSW Writers' Centre - lots of workshops, a great member's hard copy newsletter with very helpful advice and notice of competitions, grants etc.

Software tools
  • Macromedia - I use Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Freehand. Try out free downloads of Macromedia products here or get online tech support.
  • Adobe - another favourite, home of Photoshop and PageMaker among others. More downloads to try and lots of tech support. If you don't have your free copy of Acrobat Reader, here's the place to get it.
  • JASC software. Makers of Paint Shop Pro, a good photo and graphics editor which in its latest iteration rivals Photoshop. Download a trial version from this site.

Photography - Arion pics on other sites, photographic resources
  • www.watersoncarthy.com - I have a gallery covering Eliza Carthy's tour of Australia in March 2004 on this site
  • RawCanon - "All Digital. All Canon". Canon is my digital weapon of choice. Lots of user galleries here and you'll find my pics in most galleries on the site. A nice feature is the Digital Darkroom with step by step instructions on post-processing for those who want to learn or enhance existing skills. You have to become a member - but it's free, and no spam either!
  • Photos of the Year. I have been doing quite well in this international competition, particularly in the wildlife and landscape categories.
  • Digital Photography Review - if there's a digital camera out there this site will have details and review of it. Highly recommended.
  • Hydro Photographic Services - based in NSW you can get 18x12" high quality photographic prints from your digital camera for $5 plus postage. Cheap prices on smaller sizes too.

Wildlife and aniamls
  • Mogo Zoo - a privately owned zoo on New South Wales' south coast. These people provide a caring and stimulating environment for their animals, most of which are endangered species. Please support them! They do wonderful things at Mogo!
  • National Zoo and Aquarium - Hosts the biggest collection of big cats in Australia and is committed to preserving endangered species.
  • WildArena - If you're in the UK this is your chance to get up close and personal with wild animals and get tips on how to take great wildlife photos. WildArena also runs safaris to Africa from the UK which are great value for money.
  • Africat - helping conserve Africa's big cats.
  • Cat Rescue - saving the world one cat at a time. Based in Sydney, NSW, Cat Rescue has lovely cats and kittens looking for homes. We have a sweet little black and white from Cat Rescue ourselves. Cat Rescue has a no kill policy, and will rehome every cat it rescues from pounds etc. Please support Cat Rescue, they do a fantastic job and are lobbying for mandatory desexing in order to lessen the feral and unwanted backyard population. All donations are tax deductible - what are you waiting for?
Other
  • I'm an unashamed fan of the 1970s Yorkshire Television series Follyfoot. I'm a contributor to this wonderful site, which is the web's most comprehensive resource relating to Follyfoot. If you remember the show, please visit this site and have a wonderful journey.
  • Another site that takes my fancy is Private Eye, the UK magazine with biting satire and very investigative journos. Sadly a lot of the funnier stuff isn't available without subscription on this site...but you'll probably find something to tickle your fancy.
  • And for those who like a biting take on cars, current affairs or just about anything, I'd recommend Jeremy Clarkson of The Times (UK). This guy is Rant Personified. Enjoy!
